Small Business Grant Program
- This program is intended to encourage private investment in existing commercial structures and areas in order to assist these areas in attracting and retaining tenants and customers.
- For 2005, the focus is on facade improvements, landscaping, signage. tenant-based improvements and other similar projects.
- The small business grant program is open to property owners and tenants within eligible buildings in Golden. Specific eligibility criteria is available from the City.
- The maximum grant amount for 2005 will be $3,000 during grant cycles, occurring at the first meeting in February, April, June, August, and October.
- EDComm will review grant requests and recommend projects. The Planning and Development Department will handle administration of the program.

Services Available for Existing and Start-up Businesses
Business assistance services in the City of Golden are available from a variety of sources. The Small Business Development Center, (303) 277-1840, located at 1667 Cole Blvd., Building 22, Suite 400, Golden, CO 80401, provides one-on-one consulting, as well as on-going classes regarding several issues of interest from preparation of a business plan to market analysis.
In addition, the Greater Golden Chamber of Commerce, (303) 279-3113, and the Golden Urban Renewal Authority (GURA), (303) 279-4162, both provide direct services to assist existing and start-up businesses.
