City Council Packets
Informational materials are provided to City Councilors to prepare them for issues they will discuss at the upcoming Council meeting. The City of Golden is now able to provide to the public the same packet the Councilors receive via the City Web site. The packets are posted the Friday evening before the next Council meeting. Packet materials will be linked within each agenda and are also linked from the City Clerk’s departmental page. Packets will remain online for the calendar year. Please be aware that the packet can be 100 pages or more (5 to 6 MB), so the PDF documents can require lengthy download times without a broadband connection.
The packet schedule is the following:
- The Friday evening before the first and third Thursdays of the month: Regular Study Session Packet – the packet for this meeting will contain the information needed for items to be discussed at the study session and those items to be considered at the following regular meeting.
- The Friday before the second and fourth Thursdays of the month: Regular Business Meeting Packet – This packet will contain the minutes of the last regular meeting, as well as any additional materials that Council identified at Study Session that they would like to see before deciding on an issue, or materials that became available after the last due date.
Please see the Council calendar for exceptions to this schedule.
We encourage you to let us know your thoughts and suggestions for how we can continue to improve access to City documents by calling 303-384-8015.
